The Alchemical Cauldron

The cauldron is the container that holds elements of your nature and enables the inner fire, the energy of change to refine and transmute the base lead of your being into the radiant gold we all have potential for. In alchemy it is essential that our method has both the energy of change and a container to hold that which we are changing. Whether your Alchemy is a personal practice, a group process, a healing service or a creative endeavour; for optimal outcomes having a solid cauldron and a stable fire is essential. If we have just the cauldron and no fire nothing will change, we will be bogged down and our energy sapped by process devoid of purpose. Just the fire and no cauldron and our transformation will be chaotic, burning our essence and throwing us into outcomes unintended. If we have both the cauldron and Fire in harmonic balance, our alchemy will be effective, purifying and refining the base elements into harmonic connectedness and giving birth to Gold

The creation of this Artwork has happened alongside my study and practice of Taoist internal alchemy and Neigong. The current focus of my practice is very much on the building of the Cauldron and the stabilising of the fire, this artwork was an opportunity for me to deepen my understanding of and resonance with this process.
